Question
I have a mali uro and just found out she is a she. Upon getting her we were told she was male. I have had her since feb. this year. Last weekend she laid 2 eggs. I was told they are unfertilized. Today she has lain 11 eggs and has gathered them in a corner and is laying by them. I am sure they are unfertile as well being she has not mated since we have had her or at all to my knowledge. How often will she lay eggs this way. What are the cycle ranges? Should i just toss all these eggs? I have offered her water as well to rehydrate her. My poor baby girl is exhausted.

Answer
If they are infertile, then by now, they are smelly. If they were fertile, there would be a visible pink/red ring on them and they would start firming up.  Offer the female all the food she wants, especially calcium rich foods, caollards, mustard greens, dandelion greens, grated or thin sliced winter squash and sweet potatoes, and soak the lentils for a day and drain.  Remove the smelly eggs as soon as possible and also have her seen by her veterinarian to make sure all the eggs have been laid.
