ihave 1 male and 3 female leopard geckos n have had them fr about a year but i have nvr seen any eggs im nt tryin 2 bread bt is there smething wrong with my male leo

Answer
Hi Tom,

There are a couple things that can help will trigger breeding behaviour and egg laying in leos. First of all they need to be mature enough to breed and this is dependent both on age and also size. Males can start breeding at around 10 months of age but females really should be at least a year old and around 45 - 50 grams in weight. They tend to  breed in the early spring after the cooler months and shorter days of winter are over. Going through this cooling period during the winter months can trigger the spring breeding behaviour and, with many reptile species, also increases fertility.
Some breeders keep their male and females together all year while others find that separating them for a month or so and then re-introducing them in the spring helps with the breeding response.
