Traveling

Hello, I am going to Florida this coming month. I will fly one an airplane. I was thinking bof bringing my rabbit Vaneilla on the plane next to me. Can he hanle 2 airplane rides?

Dear Tricia,

Rabbits are good travellers,but you need to make sure the airline you choose allows rabbits *in the cabin*.  They will require that she stay in a special carrier under the seat in front of you, and you will have to make a special reservation for her.  Last I heard, Delta allows rabbits in the cabin.

Once you've got her special carrier and her ticket, pack the carrier with good litter (e.g., pelleted pine to absorb odor) covered with a soft towel.  Bring a ziplock back of wet greens (lettuce, parsley, etc. and other treats) so she can have snacks and not get hungry or thirsty.

She should do just fine.  :)
