newborn baby wild rabbits

Question
we discovered newborn wild baby rabbits in a very,
very shallow hold on our front lawn.  there are four of them nestled in that hole.  no mother has been seen.  what do we do to care for them to help them survive and prosper on their own?

Answer
That's normally how wild rabbits make their nests.  The mother stays away during the day so predators don't find the babies.  She'll be in the nest once a day, generally at night, to nurse them.

There's info here - http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabcare.html#baby that you can read that also mention ways to make sure the mother is coming back and nursing them.
