-----Question-----
Hello, i have two rabbits one is a small male dwarf rabbit, about 3 pounds and the other is a larger female rabbit, about 6 pounds. Normally they get along great but lately the female has been jumping on the male and bitting him and they end up running in circles holding on to eachothers fur until one wins and climbs on top of the other. They are ripping out alot of fir when they bit eachother and hold on and run in circles. My boyfriend thinks they are just playing or its some way of flirting but im not so sure. I'm worried they are fighting and getting hurt. I don't know if we should separate them when they do this or just let them be. They have been friends for awhile so i don't know why they are doing this now or if it is normal. Please let me know i really want to let them play but i don't want either of them to be hurt by it.

Have either of them been spayed/neutered? They may be wanting/trying to breed. If they have not been fixed, you do need to separate them. If they continually fight, for their saftey separation is a must too.

Answer
the running in circles is part of the mating. The buck will chase the doe untils she submits and raises her hindquarters. Make sure when you do breed them that you separate them. www.islandgems.net is a good rabbit resource to look at for breeding and pet rabbit care.
