Rabbit orange eye

Question
I have just noticed today that my one year old male rabbit has (sort of a group of little orange spots around the corner of his eye).  They are not on the eye ball but the skin around.  I have tried to wipe them off because I thought they might have been pollen - but they didn't move).

He seems fine apart from this and I was just wondering if you had any ideas as to what this could be.

Many thanks - Catherine

Answer
Dear Catherine,

I can't see them, so cannot know for sure.  They could be small papillomas (warts), inflamed hair follicles, or even small abscesses.  If they are not normal, from what you can see and judge, then please get him to a good rabbit vet for evaluation and treatment, if necessary:

Hope this helps.
