moving an indoor rabbit outdoors

Question
We have a 16 month old neutered rabbit that has been kept indoors in a 36" plastic cage.  Recently, she has become increasingly more destructive and the banging noise she makes in her cage is making our 10 year old dog very nervous, especially when we are out.  We are now considering purchasing a  48" two tier hutch with the intention of moving the rabbit outdoors.  The rabbit has been going out in a run fairly regularly over recent months and we think that maybe she is now getting bored as the change in weather has now made it impossible to put her out for long periods of time.
I was wondering if you could advise us of the best way to introduce the rabbit to an outdoor lifestyle, wi9th a view to this becoming permanent

Answer
hi dave a 48" two tier will be ideal as long as its got legs this should be just the cage for your rabbit.if the weather gets colder just put a polyhene sheet over the hutch at night to prevent and draughts and ensure he has plenty of hay or straw in which to bed down in.remove the sheet during the daytime.
