absess?

Question
My rabbit is 1 year old. He ran away for about
two weeks. He was grabbed from behind and a growth
grew just above his tail. We took him to the Vet
they said it was an absess. They drained it and
gave him some antibiotics. I was to put warm coths
on it to continue the draining. It got smaller for
a while. Then  it grew back bigger.I was feeling
it and it popped. Now it feels like  it is spreading around his lower back. Will it just go
away now that it popped? Or is it infected through
him?

Answer
No, it will not go away.  Did they do a culture on it to find out what antibiotic it is sensitive to?  If not, they need to do that so you can treat it with the right antibiotic.  It also needs to be flushed every day to get rid of the pus.  This means keeping it open.
