Treatment for tick infestation on rabbits

Question
I am pretty much freaking out right about now. Ijust founda  ingorged tick on my 4 year old netherland dwarf buck. I believe that our dogs brought them back from camping. I am having a really hard time checking him for more because he isn't very good about staying still (we call him the frumpy old man). he is so little and I am so worried that if he has more ticks that I can't find he is going to lose too much blood or suffer from anemia. Do you have any idea how I can treat an infestation? After he is treated; are there any preventative measures that I can take to prevent this from happening again? I am a very worried mother!
Thank you for your help!

Answer
Dear Julie,

No need to panic.  Ticks are gross, but he'd have to be completely *loaded* with them to suffer anemia.  Revolution will be the safest remedy, but DO NOT USE FRONTLINE, which is deadly to rabbits.

Please get him to a good rabbit vet:

who will know how to check him well for any more ticks, and administer the safe and appropriate treatment.

Hope that helps!
