Hi Dave,
I think it was you I spoke to a few days ago and would like to thank you for your answer. I spoke to my vet this morning because I am still a bit concerned. As I said she has a red line across her back. The vet said as long as it's not an open wound not to worry too much. She also said that it's the mating season and they can get a bit rough with each other even though they have been neutered. She said keep an eye on her in case anything turns into an absis and as long as she is eating and drinking and running about then there's not much wrong with her.

She did say one thing that confused me though and I would like to get your opinion on it which is, she said I could try seperating them for a while. The thing is for over a year now since I got them everyone, including other vets have told me that once rabbits have bonded they should not be separated, and yet she said she had never heard of this and it was only gineau pigs that are to be kept together all the time. I would like to know what you or any of your colleagues think of this.

hi debra you could seperate them but if they are seperated for say a week or more, when you put them back together the buck may fight as it thinks the doe is trying to take over his pad.
i would keep them as they are but keep a good eye on what goes on
