Question
Hey, would a 4ft (lenth) X 2ft (height) X 2ft (depth) hutch be big enough to house two lop eared dwarf rabbits? thanks!

Answer
Dear Aly,

In my opinion, no.  I would never house even a single rabbit in a cage that small.  Absolute minimum size I use is 36" x 36" x 36" so the bunny can stretch out and jump up on things that you put in the pen (e.g., clean cardboard box with "in" and "out" doors cut into the sides; litterbox, etc.) during those times the bunny can't run free.

But our rabbits are never caged at all:  they live free range in the house, and are litterbox trained.  Rabbits need LOTS of exercise and free running time to stay happy and healthy.  They are pretty much like a dog or cat in this regard.  You can read about this here:

and get all the information you need about proper care of your rabbits here:

I hope that helps.
