Question
Hi Samantha, Im hoping you can help me with some info. My doe and buck live together, he is about 7 months old while she is 5 months old. They live in the house and are litter trained (except for their pills), have many chew toys and get on very well. Recently I have noticed tiny spots of blood, or red/brownish on the carpet. There are also spots of a white liquid, almost in a spray-like pattern. I have checked both of them for signs of injury. Could she be pregnant? I have seen them mating, it started in september but nothing definite since. Pls help?

Answer
She could most definatly be bred. They could have easily mated when you were not around, as it only takes a few seconds for it to happen.
www.islandgems.net gives a lot of information on breeding and raising rabbits. Check it out and if you have any more breeding questions feel free to ask.
You should also separate your male and female. A bred female should always have her own cage, and no male should be kept with a female if both are capible of producing meaning that they are not fixed.
