Question
My rabbit has been eating more hay than her pellets. Usually all her pellets are gone in the morning and there's still hay in the rack. But this morning, her pellets are still there (have been eaten a little) and all her hay is gone. Should I be worried?

P.S. She's gets LOTS of hay everyday

Answer
Dear Vanessa,

It's okay for her to eat more hay than pellets, but any change in eating habits should make you sit up and take notice (as you did).  A change like this could signal dental problems, and you can find a good rabbit vet to help you with this here:

www.rabbit.org/vets

You can read more about this here:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/dental.html

so you'll know what to ask the vet.

I hope this helps.
