Question
What is the weaning age of little rabbits? How soon after weaning a litter can I put the buck and doe together for breeding? The gestation is 30-32 days, right?

Answer
Dear James,

A baby rabbit should not be taken from the mother until the age of 8 weeks.  Please read why here:

While gestation is only 28-31 days, a female rabbit should not be bred constantly, as this will weaken her, make her more susceptible to illness, and shorten her lifespan.  Please read:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/breeding.html

and find a good rabbit vet here for additional help:

Hope this helps.
