Food Change

Question
I have an approximately two year old make Albino rabbit and I today had to completely change his food, there is no longer a supply of his old food and I had just enough for half a bowl of his old food mixed in with his new food, this will be just enough for a day or two and I read that changing foods suddenly is extremely dangerous, theres nothing I can do, but will he be okay?

Answer
Dear Jamie,

It's usually better to gradually change foods, but as long as the food you are now giving him is of high quality, has no treat bits in it (Rabbit pellet mixes with corn, seeds, dried fruit, etc. are very unhealthy for a rabbit, no matter what brand.), he should be okay.  Just keep an eye out for any sign of runny poop:

and if you do see that, then contact your trusted rabbit vet:

for help.

It's a surprise to many!  :)

Hope this helps.
