I have quite a few around my house(outside).  They seem to dig holes under poarches etc.  Are they harmful?  should I trap them and relaeae them in the woods?
Answer -
Are they wild? You should buy a live trap and release them a couple of miles away.  
Chipmunks are not harmful but they are destructive.  If you can catch them and keep them in a large avairy

I am not certain that I got the whole message, is there more to the last sentence?  By wild I assume you mean not in cages,  they are all over my yard.  What do you mean by destructive?

I mean they are likely to cause alot of mess such as eating through things etc...  If you can catch them maybe you should keep them in a large avairy or release them somewhere else.  If you release them in the woods near you they will come back.  If you dont want to remove them from the area take them away from your house to the other end of the woods.
