travel or not

I have 2 pet rats that are a little over 2 years old. Their brother died aroud 5 months ago and i am scared to death to leave them alone for more than one night. But i am suposed to go visit my dad who lives 6 hours away and we have to travel over the mountains. I am afraid the travel,over the mountains and the movement will hurt them. And my stepmom smokes while in the car, even though the window is open i am afraid that the little amouts of smoke that will come back will hurt them. What do you suggest.

If you are going to visit your dad for a day dont worry!.  Make sure you give them food and water.  Try giving cat meat as it keeps there protein and energy up.  

If you are going to be away for a couple of days then ask a close friend to do it for you.  Try not to worry.  They should be fine.
