Hi There,
I am a rat breeder in Maine and I have some genetic questions. Firstly, can you help be figure out what I would get from the following combinations...please give detail if possible like color, fur type, ear type and tail type. Thanks.

1. PEW rex X BEW dumbo = ?
2. PEW rex X beige hooded rex= ?
3. PEW rex X black capped hairless= ?
4. PEW rex X black capped partial tailed= ?

Hello Betty,

Do you know what other genes the mom and dad of each rat carry? As the out come of the colours will be different.

If you don't know this is what you should get, but if other genes are carried then there should be these colours plus more.

1. PEW rex X BEW Dumbo = They will all be top ears carring Dumbo in Rex and Smooth in Black, PEW, there may be some BEW's.

2. PEW rex X Beige Hooded rex = They will all be Top ears have Double Rex coats (Double Rexes should never be bred) the whole litter should be Black, if the PEW is solid the they will all be Berkshires.

3. PEW rex X Black Capped Hairless = They will all be Top ears, some Double Rex some Hairless, all should be Black Berkshires.

4. PEW Rex X Blaxk Capped = I not sure about the tails. they all should be Top ears, some Rex and some Smooth, Berkshires in Black.
