my guinea pig is acting sick

Over the past few days, my guinea pigs has meen acting sick. He still eats, drinks, but he has problems with bowel movements, not squealing when you show him affection, he has some discharge from the eyes, he is very weak, and he stays in one place in his cage. His is 3 years old, Could this be from old age? please help me, I dont want to loose another guine pig again. please Email me back at Dragon591@sbcglobal.net

I doubt old age is the problem as 3 years is not particularly old for a pig.

Based on what you tell me, the problem could be a vitamin deficiency, probably vitmain c.

He will probably need a trip to the vet, but you should keep him warm, give vitamin c rich food such as orange.
