Breeds Characteristic

Hi Nicole,

I'm quite new in keeping guinea pig, so I need your help.
How do I differentiate between baby peruvian breed & cross between abyssinian X peruvian (called abbyruvian in my country).

As you might not know, in my country, guinea pig does not have pedigree nor tattoo so that it's nearly impossible to get a purebred one.

Recently I bought a baby peruvian boar, just to realize 4 months later that I've been scammed by the breeder! The boar turns out to be an abbyruvian. Sure it's easy to tell by looking at the adults, but how do I tell the differences between the babies?

Hmmm....
I have never heard of that labeling before! How odd, in Canada we dont use the system. I can tell you that there is probably no way totell the difference until they are grown, but for now just love em as you see em.
