Hey how is it going.
My Tootsi girl had 5 babies today but only two lived?  why?
also when can I start holding them ???  how do I know their gender?

Hello.
It's really hard to breed guinea pigs and there is a great chance of losing some of the cavies that's why I never recommend people to breed guinea pigs. It's very common to lose several babies in the beginning. You can start holding the cavies now actually. They are fully aware of what is going on and there mother won't disown them from you handling them. Here is a link on sexing the two guinea pigs though. Good luck on the babies. :-)
