feeding confusion

Hi,Im rearly confused I have read many guinea pig care sites and all have said do not feed your guinea pig any kind of potatoes and I have always followed that information.But today I found A nother guinea pig care site and it said treats you can feed your guinea pigs can be potatoes and well thats when I was confused.Can you please help me? can you please tell me if potatoes are good for guinea pigs or not.from kathleen

Dear Kathleen,
I'm sorry about your confusion.  Some kinds of potatoes can be good for guinea pigs, like sweet potato which i feed to my guinea pig and he loves.  But do not feed your pig any other kind of potato besides those.  Hope I helped!
