Piggy behaviour

Hi i was wondering if you could give me some information on guinea pig behaviour. My guinea pig is really noisy and constantly squeals and squeaks. I was wondering if different noises mean different things and do guinea pigs have body language? My piggy is also really shy and is scared of everything is there anything i can do to make her more friendly and not so timid?
