guinea pig after she had a pup

hi there i have 3 guinea pigs 1 gave birth luckily i didn't have to separate them as they have been all together since i bought them, i have 2 fem,1 male, witch we thought they where all females...we even have the 1 pup in with all of them and the other female is having some baby's too, my question to you is how long after they have there pup can they be mated as i don't want this to happen and want to prevent it..... thankyou sandy....

congratulations on the baby.

But unfortunatley Your Female that has just had a baby might be pregnant because straight after birth the female can become pregnant again.

She may not be pregnant but there is a strong chance you may need to give more food to her because she may be pregnant and plus she has to look after her new baby
