Question
hi, its me again !! i forgot to ask you at what age can i seperate the young ones from there mother cause i am going to put the males in one cage and the females in another!! is it correct? will they go along together this way? at what age can i determine their sex?

thanks again
daniela

Answer
I separate all of my pigs out at 3 weeks, but at least separate them by 4 weeks, that way you do not have any other pregnancies. Also remove the male at least 3 weeks before the mother is due, after delivery females can get pregnant again, which is not healthy for them. You can either separate the babies out into different cages, one for males one for females, or if the cage is large enough, leave the females with mom, and separate out the males. You can determine their sex once they are born, but always recheck them at 1-2 weeks because sometimes they can full you, since they are so small.
