Is my guinea pig gonna have babies???

Emy, my g. p. gained a lot of weight and calmed down compared to her usual hyper self. I got her a little less than 2 yrs. ago. She looks large around her waist. She is me first g.p. I have owned. Is she pregnat??????????

unless she has been around a male then no, and if she has then yes she probably is and will need to see a vet. after one year the hip bones in female guinea pigs fuse together making birthing nearly impossible, this is likly to kill her so i would definately get her to a vet.

if however she has not been around a male then it might indicate another problem, either way i would get her to a vet
