hamster bleeding please help asap

Hello,

My dwarf hamster Gus started bleeding from his rectum on Christmas Eve, then the next day it stopped but he wasn't moving a lot and now, 2 days later he is bleeding again.. My vet is not in and I tried to bring him to an emergency vet but they only take dogs and cats... If you can help I would appreciate it.. Thanks so much.. thank you for your question.
I'm afraid there isn't much you can do for Gus. It sounds like an internal injury or maybe some kind of liver disease.
All you can do is to make sure he's warm enough - sick small mammals often have problems to maintain their body temperature. Heat a sock filled with rice in the microwave so that it's comfortably warm and place it next to him. Place his food and water bowls near him so that he doesn't have to move much to reach them.
