Im noticing a few changes in my daughters hamster.

My daughter has a dwarf hamster. We got him from a pet store about 3 months ago. We haven't seen a change in his eating or drinking habits. We recently bought him a new wheel, but other than that everything else is the same. He's always been VERY active, espicially with his wheel. A couple of days ago, my daughter noticed that his nose is sometimes red and sometimes pink. She also says his nose is cold and wet and it wasn't like that before. He also hasn't been going in his new wheel as much as he used to. Could he possibly have a cold or could it be the new wheel? What do you think? Thank You

I am not sure exactly what is wrong, but a reddish pink nose is absolutely normal. The wetness can be associated with the water bottle, a lot of hamsters sniff at it, because they forget what it is. If you are still very concerned, you can see a vet, but i don't think this is necessary.
