QUESTION: They are Dwarf hamsters!

Answer
Hi Darian,

Dwarf hamsters can sometimes be very shy - most of them will never be 'tame' like a Syrian and will rarely actually come up to your hand!

If you want to hold them then you usually will have to pick them up - it is no good waiting for a Dwarf to climb onto your hand,  Unless they are very tame and know you very well!

As you have two of them they will probably bond to each other more that they bond to you because they spend more time with each other.

If you want a hamster which will be very tame and climb onto your hand then you would be best to get a Syrian - but please remember that all hamsters need a lot of time and attention spent on them to get them tame!

Kind Regards,

Tammy
