hi i was wondering if hamsters eat hard boiled eggs
and can you give me what do else they eat carrots and etc...
tell me whats the best to feed them
i have a pair 1 golden teddy and one white teddy bear hamster thnx

Hamsters need a daily supply of good quality hamster mix - this should have everything they need to keep them healthy.

You can give your hamster treats every week, but you must only give them a tiny amount each week - too much fruit or veg can give them an upset tummy.

Carrots, apples, cucumbers etc. are fine in tiny amounts - the same with hard boiled eggs - only tiny pieces each week.

Also, the hamsters you have are all long haired Syrian hamsters - there are no such things as Teddy Bear hamsters - this is just a fancy name which pet shops give hamsters to make them sell for more money.

Syrian hamsters are striclty solitary and will end up killing each other if they are kept in the same cage - so please make sure you have them all in separate cages and make sure that they are not allowed to play with each other either!!
