can i feed her boiled rice?

i have a syrian hamster and have had them for about 5 years i was just wondering could i feed her a teaspoon of cold boiled rice? i have not tried her yet just that when my mam and i were cooking dinner it just popped into my head that just in case i ran out of food for her i could give her a teaspoon of cold rice and a bit i banana. thank you from emer aged 13 years

Yes, hamsters can eat boiled rice. It should however be without salt. It should be a treat, nothing more.
If you run out of food for a day, the hamster will probably have enough food stored in his nest to feed on that during that day.
If you are worried about running out of food for longer than that, freeze a small amount of food for emergencies. It will keep fresh for months in the freezer.
