Question
My hamsters are always fighting and my one hamster is getting bit really bad he has lots of scabs on his back and now he is cut on side and on his foot what should I do?I'm scared!!!!!

The petsore says I am allowed to keep to boys together but they fight too much!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
The store where you bought your hamsters probably meant you could keep two boys together without fear of unwanted litters (or at least I hope that is what they meant) because Syrian hamsters should NEVER be housed together.

They are solitary animals (past a certain age) and you cannot put more than one in a cage, or they WILL fight, often until one is dead.

You need to separate your Syrian hamsters into two cages immediately.  They should never have contact with each other, not even to "play".  Syrian hamsters are entirely solitary animals and do not want to have any contact with other Syrian hamsters unless it is to mate.  (And almost immediately after the fact, the male and female will start to fight again.)

Here is an article written by Jane Landis of the California Hamster Association about the solitary Syrian hamster:
