do hamsters need to cut their nails cause whenever i carry my dwarf hamster the nails are like trying to peirce into my skin and i was thinking of buying him a ball but how do i know if he was thirsty.pls reply thanks

A hamsters nails should be trimmed. I trim my hamsters nails using regular nail clippers. Their nails can grow incredibly long. Also, about buying a ball to put your hamster in. Leave him in no longer than 30 min. a day at best. They can get hot in the ball and can get stressed out.
