My hampster is not well

Hi,
I have a domestic teddy bear hampster and he looks like he is loosing his hair.  He has a swollen behind that is dragging and looks like he has grown a butt.  His stomach is rashy looking and he has lost most of the hair there.
Please advise

Hi Kathy,

Your hamster should immediately be taken to a vet.  Many times, fur loss can be a sign of mites or mange, but this is not the case with your hamster.  A vet can properly diagnose and treat your hamster.
