babies and mom

Question
Hello!
My mom and I wanted to try out seeing what would happen if I kept a baby with the mom for a long time and if they would always like eachother. but then i thought about it and wondered if it was such a good idea. Do you think the mom will harm the baby or will they grow up loving eachother?

  ps. about the sick hamster, I took her to the vet and they said she had a respitory infection and they gave her some medicine and now she's doing great!! Thanks for telling me it wasn't just old age!

Hi Alexa,

Well, it would seem that would work, but unfortunately, it just won't.  It would never happen in nature, not to mention captivity.  Eventually they would begin acting just like 2 hamsters who were strangers to each other, and they would fight, often violently.

That's great about your other hamster.  I'm glad she's doing well :)
