Questionhello i have read about your things like the stroke back and check of heat thing well i tried it and the girl dwarf hamster was hot and cold and when i felt its belly it was kind of hot but the tail was not up what does that mean?
AnswerHi Blake,
Hamsters will always feel warm because they're warm-blooded animals, so checking for warmth won't work well. Instead, check every day by stroking your hamster's back and watching to see if she freezes up. If you check every day, then you'll figure out when she comes into heat. For example, if she freezes up today, then you'll know she's in heat. Then, you'll know she'll be in heat four days from now, and so on.
Have a great day!
