dash hound

QUESTION: I have a 3 yr old female dash hound. For the last 4 days she has been cuddling a stuffed dog that she got for christmas. She has never played with stuffed animals before,never wanted them. She is not in season, and not eating but a very little. She puts the dog under her and cuddles it all day and nite wont go outside or play DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS???

ANSWER: Hi Kay.  How long has it been since your dog was in heat?  After reading your question, a few thing come to mind, 1.  Elevated hormone levels, 2. false pregnancy or 3. could she possibly be expecting?

QUESTION: Thanks for answering last heat was about 4 weeks ago, no she cannot be pg she is house dog with no naighbors. Should I take the stuffed dog away from her?

No, I wouldn't take the toys away, they aren't doing any harm.
