Which dog?

Hi,i am considering getting a dog and don't know which to get?I currently have 2 budgies,2 cockatiels and 2 cats.which dog has the right temperament for me?

A retreiver would be wonderful or a meduim sized toy that isnt inclineed to hating other animals like a shit tuz. You need to tell me what size of yard you have if your allergic to dog hair at all, if yuo want a dog with lnog/short or wavy/curly hair if you want a big or small dog if you want a dog good with children/sdtrangers a gaurd dog and how much time you can spare on grooming/walking the dog. also larger dogs are normal much more expensive to feed.

The all out favorite dog for people with othwer pets is the Labrador Retreiver I can't stress enough how wonderufl this dog is with kids/cats/rabbits/birds/lizards anything...mine would let my lovebird sit on her head and wouldnt touch my bearded draong while it was on my arm she is also wonderful with my neices who are  1 and 2 years old she will lick most strangers entering the hosue but is wary of some men, she is an excelent watch dog and gaurds the yard very well, she loves to go on long walks or  short runs and loves to paly with my other smaller dogs, she loves to play fetch and chasing frisbees is an all time fovorite, The labrador reteriver is a meduim to heavy shedding breed blowing the coat twice yearly which is when clumps of hair can be pulled out without reveling bald spots of course, this dog is almost complety water prof and this is great if yuo like walking in the rain. This dog lives 11-13 years tends to get hip adn joint problems later in lifre but buying from a good breeder will; greatly reduce the risk of your dog ahving such problems. These dogs  are excelent bird dogs from what I've heard. They are also fairly ok with strange dogs if they are carefully introduced...my lab will get mad and pull/try twist from her head collar if i haev my other dogs with me and we pass a yard witha  dog in it...she is very protective but not agressive with her fmaily and family dogs. These max out at 21-24 inches at the shoulder and 60-85 pounds some males from some lines will get over 100 pounds and are much more prone to joiny problems. my female is 22 inches 80 pounds. These dogs come in black/yellow and brown they are never to be multi colored oly soild colored, they are loving dogs but are independant so wont bug you all evening whiel your trying to watch tv unless of course you are snacking on chips or trail mix. Th lab is very food motivated and training one of these dogs is easy if you use food rewards they are also good fly ball/agility dogs and can maek good frisbee dogs. These dogs need alot of exercsie thou a large yard is am must or you'll need to walk the dog and hour a day or jog or run the adult dog for 30 minutes  aday, never over exercise a puppy of this breed it will aid in getting joint problems later on which is to be avoided at all costs.
