Labor in dogs

Well my boxer is I think Pregnant we are on day 66.Last night she started to vomit and pant heavily. This morning all she is doing is lying around. She really has not ate anything for two daus now. I am really wondering is it possible that she really is not Pregnant at all. She is showing signs of early labor but, i am not questioning.

Hi Christine,  Sorry I couldn't get to you sooner.  Did she give birth?  Some dogs go through false pregnancy where the body thinks it is pregnant and will go through all the symptoms, up to and sometimes even including labor.  If she went that long, it is a good possiblity that was what she was going through.  Dogs that go through false pregnancies a lot of times will have them more than once in their lifetime.  If they continue to have them, most vets will recommend that you spay them as it is due to a hormone imbalance and is not good for the health of the dog.  Hope this helps,
