shitzu pup born without tail

there is a lady giving me a shitzu puppy a friend of mine. it is the only in the litter born without a tail. could this cause it a problem later on as it gets older? why would it not have a tail? just curious i am anxious to get it home when it is old enough. thank you

Hi Esther,  Born with out a tail could just be a genetic screwup.  It shouldn't cause any problems because he will have been born that way so he doesn't have to adjust to anything unlike if it has to be removed for some reason.  Hope this helps,
