what type of puppy to get

i own an aussie/border collie mix 7yr old female dog named shana.  we are looking to get a new puppy to add to our family.  we found a very cute female australian cattle/border collie mix puppy and a pure bred aussie male puppy.  we are not sure which puppy to get, which would get along better with shana.  the female pup followed shana around when the were first introduced and shana didn't seem to mind.  could you please help me in deciding what would be best for shana.  a female or a male.  and are both of those breeds and ok match for shana.  thx for your time in advance.

Either one should be fine, if you have any doubts at all go for the male it is always a good thing to have male and female,  But aussies usually work in tandem with other dogs so either should be ok.  Of course there is always the chance of a personality conflict.  Go with the male if Shana has a strong personality.
