puppies fractured foot

my puppy fractured his foot in 3 places, he has a splint and my question is besides a cone what could i use to keep him from chewing it?  he is 17 weeks old.

Hi Sandy. If no surgical procedures are going to be taken to correct the fractures, it is VERY important that the splint stay in very good condition. It must stay dry at all times & not get chewed up. If he is trying to chew it off, then I definitely recommend an e-collar. It must be kept on as much as possible until his leg is healed. This is very important until the leg heals. Good luck.
