I have a 3 year old black lab who 11 days ago gave birth to 11 pups (first litter).  For 11 days she has done wonderful with them.  All of a sudden she has dug a hole and is burying them in the hole.  She's still feeding them but is this normal?

Um, Beth, no. Trying to bury puppies is not normal. I'm not sure I fully understand what it is she's doing, though. Is she treating them like a bone? In other words, is she consciously picking them up, carrying them somewhere, digging the hole, placing them in it, and then trying to cover them up?
