Question
I'm looking to purchase a Siberian Husky in the near future, but frankly I'm lost as to where I should get it. I have done my homework and researched copiously upon the breed, but there seems to be so many different kennels and such out there that I really don't know which one's the best. And exactly how does purchasing a puppy from a breeder work? Thanks.

Answer
Hello Jen and thank you for your question. I hope you are awre of teh energy this breed has an that it requires long daily leashed walks. If you do and understand the dog will be with you for 12-13 years then great! I've never bought a puppy from a registered breedered before but they are the best way to go honestly if you can afford such a puppy. I have talked to several registered breeders before thou. You genrally give 1/4 to 1/2 of the money for the puppy as a deposit if the puppy isnt yet ready to go home(7/8 weeks in teh best age never younger then this). Then apon picking up the puppy depending on wherre you get the pup from you may be required to sign a Non breeding contract stating the dog must be altered by 6/7 months of age or the breeder will relenquish the dog, or you may sign papers for changing who the dog is registered to, And you may be required to sign apperps for terms on a guaraentee....a good breeder will offer one or more of the above a bad breeder will hand the puppy over with its vet record adn thats it no health guarentee or peddigree papers and no non breeding or breeding contracts to sign.
