can grooming make a dog sick?

I took my dog Buddy & had him groomed monday well now he was itched ear almost raw & is not acting right? He just lays around looking sad. Still eating & drinking. now has a funky smell also.almost all folds of skin feel real ruff.

He could be having an allergic reaction to the shampoo used.  This is uncommon but unfortunately does occur on rare occasions.  Your best bet is to take him to the vet who will be able to confirm if it is an allergic reaction and give him any appropriate shots etc if it is.
