Schnauzer 6 Suddenly pottying in house

She has been trained for 5 1/2 yrs.  Now, sometimes leaks at night when asleep, and pee's on floor or furnituire even though she has gone outside and peed. All efforts not working.  What should I do?  Have put up kid gates and shut most doors to keep her out of carpeted areas.  She can hold it all night.  Does it during the day, while we are at home and with her.  Do you think it is behavior problem or medical problem?

Anytime one has a (housebroken) schnauzer and its urinary habits change for the worse, it is time for a vet visit since this breed is prone to urinary problems. It could be a bladder infection or bladder stones... or she could be developing urinary incontinence, which can usually be controlled through medication. Your vet will want a urine sample, so give them a call.
