play biting

Question
My 18 month Siberian husky likes to put his mouth on my wrist/arm and just barely press down but sometimes he will shake his head and try to shake my arm like a toy. He has not broken the skin but I do get bruises occasionally from his canine tooth poking into my hand. He just looks at me waiting for a reaction. When I try to pet him is mostly when he does it. Or he will run like he wants me to chase him. He loves to play tug of war. The only time I can really pet him is while he is eating and has his mouth full. I bought him from a husky breeder when he was 2mos. He is generally a friendly happy dog with the exception of using my arm as a chew toy. Do you have some suggestions on what I should do. Thanks in advance, Kim

Answer
The method I find that works well is to tap the nose and say 'no bites' firmly, and then pet him when he stops,or give im a treat,so he knows you want him to stop-or you can also offer a toy as a reward that works as well

the 'nose tap' seems to give them the idea
