riding in the car

We have alway taken Maddie our miniature schnauzer with us in the car.Now she acts like she is scared of something, and she pants and shakes all the time. We were in the car for two and a half hours and she did it the whole time. I wondered if there is anything that we can give to her to calm her down. She was a year old in October.I can't think of anything that happened that might of scared her.I would appreciate any information that you might have. Thank you for your time.

I really don't know what would cause this,  especially if you didn't see anything happen that would have scared her. I am sure she could be given a low dose of medication  that would help .  You will need to consult with your veterinarian though,  as a professional will need to prescribe the correct med and dosage.
