My PeekaPoo has been neutered for approx. 8months. My Beagle mix is now in heat. Why is he still mounting?

Answer
He is mounting her because he has plans to breed her. You should have spayed the bitch instead of neutering the male. The only difference with the male is that, hopefully, he is now shooting blanks. (It sometimes takes a bit of time for the sperm to totally die out in a male's reproductive system after neutering.) I suggest you keep them separated before one of them gets hurt.
