Help! Happy to send you pictures...sizes of
growths" vary. Some drain, others do not. From time-to-time, I have everal surgecally removed. PLEASE HELP; Vet's have NOT!

Hi Sanford,

You didn't say what kind of growths your dog was diagnosed with. It's not uncommon that cysts "refill" with fluid after being drained. Dogs that are prone to develop these sort of growths do have a problem with them re-growing, even after being surgically removed. It's nothing your vet did wrong.

It could well be (depending on what kind of growths they are) that this is nothing more than a cosmetic problem, though you always need to monitor the size and growth of any cyst you dog has. Depending on the size of these growths and where they're located on your dog, as long as you're able to drain the cyst and keep it at a manageable size, that might be the best solution to the problem.

If you feel that your vet just doesn't have enough experience in dealing with skin problems, you can  have have a veterinary dermatologist examine your dog. You can locate a veterinary dermatologist here:
